aapi 2022 calendar

“Violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders has spiked since the start of the pandemic, rising by triple digits in some cities. These hate crimes are fueled, in part, by ignorance.

Learning about various cultures is a small way to break down barriers and push back against stereotypes. With that in mind, Beutler Ink asked three incredible AAPI creators from diverse backgrounds to illustrate the year to come from their own unique perspectives”.

January- “Watching the ball drop brings great anticipation as the New Year begins. Looking forward and not back makes that last minute feel very special.”

April- “April is a special month of discovery and inspiration for me and I often visit the Smithsonian museums, when DC is lined with cherry blossoms. This art gallery holds some of my favorite art moments and artists.”

July- “Every July, I go on a road trip to visit my friends. We are never in the same place at the same time, so we cherish our annual reunions and always take lots of pictures!”

October- “I do movie nights almost every night and love curling up to a warm blanket, lighting a candle, grabbing snacks, and watching Jack sing his heart out. Oh, and don’t forget the hot cocoa!”
